Mat lacquer

Mat lacquer is a transparent lacquer, protecting the painted surface against external influences without affecting the aspect of the surface. Amongst others, a mat laquer must be resistant to sunlight (UV radiation), humidity and mechanical abrasion (scratches) and garantee these features for many years.

Mat and non-reflecting colours are a good choice, if the underground is not completely even. Therefore they are often used for painting large surfaces, e.g. walls or ceilings. However, on mat colours dents or smudges can easily be seen. But these days you can already get emulsion paints which can be wiped-off.
